Final Degree Project in solaboration with LEKUE
Starting from our interest in design products in the food sector, we have set out to provide well-being to people through a product intended for the production of fermented tea called "Kombucha", through a ritual and experience.
Our proposed brief was composed by the words "well-being" and "more than food". This project aims to align with the company Lékué. We analyzed the company and identified a gap where we could propose a new product. We delved into the world of Japanese essence, rituals, and sensory and psychological experiences in contact with the materiality of the products. We also researched fermented beverages and their benefits.
All research started with a market study showing that Kombucha is trendy and growing in popularity and sales for the future. It has also been demonstrated that its healing and well-being properties have been proven for thousands of years, creating this famous "miracle" drink.
